Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Syok AI collects, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language.
1. Who we are
Syok AI ("Syok AI", "we", "us") is an independent online service used by people around the world. It lets you connect your own AI provider API keys and automatically switches between them when one hits a limit. Syok AI is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in it at support@syok-ai.com.
We built our privacy practices around leading international standards: the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We give every user the same protections, wherever they live.
2. The short version
- Your AI provider keys are encrypted and stored in your own Cloudflare account, not on a Syok AI database.
- Your Playground chats are stored in your own Cloudflare account too, and in your browser.
- We never see your card number. Stripe handles payments.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your prompts go to the AI providers you connected, under their own privacy policies.
3. What we collect
| Information | Why we need it | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Account details: your Cloudflare account ID and email address, received when you sign in with Cloudflare | To create your account, recognise you when you sign in, and contact you about your account | Syok AI's central service (Cloudflare Workers KV) |
| AI provider API keys you paste in | To send your requests to those providers | Encrypted, in the storage of your personal Syok AI worker inside your own Cloudflare account (or, briefly, Syok AI's central service until your personal worker is set up) |
| Chats, pictures, videos and documents you create or attach in the Playground | To show your chat history and let you continue conversations | Your own Cloudflare account and your browser. Attached documents are read in your browser and sent as text with your message. |
| Skills you add in the Playground | To send your standing instructions with your chats | Your browser only |
Developer API keys (syk_…) | To let your own apps use Syok AI | Only a one-way hash of each key is stored, never the key itself |
| Usage records: which provider answered, success or failure, counts and timestamps | To route requests, show you your usage, enforce limits, and fix problems | Your own Cloudflare account (per-request details); short technical logs at Cloudflare |
| Billing information: subscription status, plan, payment dates. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach us. | To run your subscription | Stripe, and a status record at Syok AI |
| Referral payout details: the PayPal or Wise email address you give us, and your commission records | To pay referral commissions | Syok AI's central service |
| Support messages, including your email address and any screenshots you choose to send | To answer you | Our support inbox (Google Gmail) and our support system |
We don't ask for your name, address, phone number or ID to use Syok AI. If you are paid referral commissions, Stripe, PayPal or Wise may ask you for such details under their own rules.
4. Your prompts and AI providers
When you chat, generate an image or video, or call the Developer API, your request is sent to the AI provider you connected (for example Google Gemini, Groq, Mistral or OpenAI), using your key. That provider receives your prompt and returns the answer under its own terms and privacy policy. Some free tiers let a provider use your prompts to improve their models, so please check each provider's policy before sending anything sensitive.
Syok AI does not use your prompts or chats to train any AI model, and we don't read your chats. The one exception is a support conversation you choose to share with us.
If you turn on the built-in Cloudflare Workers AI fallback, that request runs on Cloudflare's AI service inside your own Cloudflare account.
5. How we use information
- To provide, secure and improve Syok AI, including automatic switching between providers.
- To run your free trial, subscription and referral payouts.
- To answer support requests and tell you about important changes to the service or these terms.
- To prevent abuse and fraud, and to meet legal obligations.
We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
6. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run Syok AI:
- Cloudflare: sign-in, hosting, storage and optional AI.
- Stripe: payments and invoices.
- PayPal or Wise: referral payouts, only if you are owed a payout.
- Google (Gmail): support email.
- GitHub: hosts our source code. It does not receive your personal data.
- The AI providers you connect: your prompts, as described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our users or the service, or as part of a sale or transfer of the service. If that happens, this policy continues to apply.
7. International transfers
Our service providers run on servers in many countries, including the United States and the European Union. When personal data from the EU, UK or Switzerland is transferred to another country, we rely on safeguards recognised by those laws, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework used by our providers. We only use well-known providers with strong security practices.
8. Security
- Provider keys are encrypted before they are stored.
- Developer keys are stored only as a hash and can be revoked instantly.
- All connections use HTTPS.
- Sign-in is handled by Cloudflare, so we never see or store a password.
No system is perfectly secure. Please keep your devices and your Cloudflare account safe, and tell us right away at support@syok-ai.com if you suspect a problem.
9. How long we keep it
- We keep your account information while your account is open.
- Data in your own Cloudflare account stays until you or we delete it. You can remove the personal Syok AI worker from your Cloudflare dashboard at any time.
- We keep billing and payout records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- We keep support emails for as long as they are useful for helping you.
10. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Remove any provider key, chat, skill or developer key yourself in the app, at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Withdraw consent, or object to certain uses.
- Cancel your subscription from your account page.
To make a request, email support@syok-ai.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.
If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland
We process your data on these legal bases:
- To perform our contract with you: running your account, subscription and chats.
- Our legitimate interests: security, preventing abuse, and improving the Service.
- Legal obligations: for example, keeping tax records.
- Your consent, where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
You also have the right to data portability, to restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are in the United States
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know, access, correct and delete their personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to profile you.
11. Cookies and local storage
Syok AI doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. The app stores a few things in your browser's local storage so it works properly:
- your sign-in session;
- light or dark theme;
- a device ID used for security;
- recent chats;
- your skills.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the PDF reader library from Cloudflare's cdnjs when you attach a PDF. Those services can see your IP address, like any website you visit. Stripe's checkout page uses its own cookies.
12. Children
Syok AI is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and we will let you know by email or in the app if a change is significant.
14. Contact
Email support@syok-ai.com with any questions or requests about your privacy.
